About Us

We are one the most experienced and popular companies providing Viking,
Saxon & 1066 School Workshops, and one of the few companies who make visits all over the UK. We average over 160 school workshops per year and 1000's of schools have experienced one of our school workshops and a large number of which book return visits year on year with some schools booking a year or more in advance to get the date that they want, so we recommend that schools book a visit as early as possible!

We now offer a workshop covering 1066 for both Primary and Senior schools.

Longship is proud to be the only Company/Organisation asked to provide workshops for the British Museum's "Vikings Life & Legends Exhibition" the largest Viking Exhibition at the museum for more than 40 years

Our Workshops are considerably more environmentally friendly than most out of school trips, we use a small modern fuel efficient vehicle so it uses far less fuel compared to a large coach or coaches that are required to transport pupils and staff to and from a venue, we arrive early and are ready to start on average at 9:15 am and finish just before the end of the school day so there is no time wasted travelling or being stuck in traffic.
